I am from AP. And my father had first hand experience getting ripped off by this dead mans cronies when they threatened and grabbed my fathers small plot, that he had bought way back in 89, on the out-skirts of Hyd. All it took was one single threatening phone call to my father and my father signed the sale deed for the land the very next day, not asking a single penny in return. His family was more precious to him than the bloody piece of land. My father worked as a clerk in a central govt office. He is a simple man and has no clout.
I am sad that YSR is dead. I wish he survived but with 3rd degree burns and limped out his miserable life for the next 100 yrs.

while others changed jobs and moved on to EB2 and got GC in 6 month.
maybe you can also search companies with sub labor.

If this thread (forum) was a court room. It would have been declared by Judge that YSR is indeed the most corrupt politician AP had and pending further investigation all the occupied & grabbed lands, wealth be ordered to pay to the victims. In addition, the Judge would put a life time ban his Son from active politics.
I hope all posters, readers will condemn corruption and blood politics and see US system (for we being in US) as an example for India. No one can better understand American system than us and how it can be modulated to fit into India.

There is no doubt Everyone knows that H1b and GC laws are crazy. For that we need to fight to change the law but should not encourage to violate the law. If USCIS violates law lawsuit should be filed. That is the rightway.
Isn't that the point what all anti-consulting folks are making here ? They want all existing laws (plus all laws they themselves created to satisfy their sadistic self) to be strictly followed. If that is the case snram4's relative should have been deported.
What many do not understand is H1B laws are insane and irrational. Many from our country doesn't have the guts to fight crazy laws. All they are good at is screwing their own fellow country men out of jealousy or selfishness.
Do all these folks follow law judiciously in their life ? I don't think so. Some of the folks here acting like bhagat singh came to this stage of life climbing over loads of corruption.

I got my canadian PR early this year and have another 3 months to land. I think other companies will follow MSFT and there will be a lot of consulting companies to support them as well. Some more avenues for Desi companies to exploit employees but I guess since we don't need to depend on employers to get our PR, they may not have their way the way they do here in the US.

Hi,
I am canadian PR too. My understanding is you have to enter Canada with your Canadian PR within 6 months of getting your Canadian PR. However, you can immedietly come out of Canada and stay out of Canada for upto 3 years.

REALLY? Is it a coincidence that a desi company owner will usually have 99% of his emploees Indian? Thinking that employment depends only on skills is not realistic. A lot of the networking based on national origin interferes with how at least H1 jobs are landed here. So there is a reason to have rules preventing a monopoly.

True Eb2 will move and would not retrogress taking the new FY as a whole..but it becoming current by next Oct is a bit far fetched.
Remember in the first quarter of FY07 EB2 was U with all 01, 02, 03, and Jan-Mar 04 (mostly 03 as 01 and 02 were current for long and didn't have many in the labor backlog centers) used all the numbers. With several EB2's issued during the fiasco + 1st and 3rd quarter and into the 4th quarter, we are now slowly seeing everything till Mar 04 cleared up. It took almost a year to have 03 cleared up.
And you guess is 04-08 would get cleared in another year :p hard to believe!

Due to the new change of horizontal fall outs EB2 India exclusively getting about 50k visas, very little share to china. (b) INA 202(e) Special Rules for Countries at Ceiling. requires that additional visas are distributed according to the world-wide distribution across FB and EB categories. Due respect Chanduv23 - I believe there are a million and more who've done better and fought tougher battles. I'd think some of them are here on this very forum. I may not have had an opportunity to grow up in India - however, I'm pretty sure - in fact quite certain, the sort of b'wood trash dished out, is nothing representative of Indian culture and ways of life. Most of the stuff encourages ills of American pop culture and feels desperate to the point of being foolish wannabees - and you know what's really sad -- that people from a nation with such incredibly history & culture need the feel to ape ills of American pop culture and the likes. Giving GC's for buying home seems toomuch biased and benefits only a subset of EB, and totally shifts the basis of the EB category.
On the other hand, if their visas can be exempted from the visa numbers(annual quota), but still tied to the visa dates being current for their priority dates, this will benefit the entire community and law makers can justify the approach without stiff oppositions, if any. To me this feels lot more reasonable and everyone(EB applicants) will evenly benefit from this.
Almost 20-30% of the Eb appl. from 2001-2005 should be already in a position to buy or bought a home. That should help dates move faster for older dates.
Just a thought. But this alone will NOT resolve all our issues and backlogs. Just speedsup the date movement in a steadily manner.
